Mother of two, cat mom, and prolific reader, Alice Kanaka is the author of seven traditional mysteries, numerous short stories, and a twelve-episode collaboration with Black Knight, author of the Starshatter space opera series.
Alice holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. She spent twelve years working at a state psychiatric hospital, speaks three languages, and has lived in seven countries.
A life-long fan of the mystery genre, Alice’s books combine traditional tropes with contemporary characters to create whodunits that are simultaneously familiar and unique. Her aspiration is to write books that she would enjoy reading; stories that are both entertaining and uplifting, perfect with a cup of Earl Grey and a roaring fire on a gloomy day.
